The Trade Development Director translatessupplierstrategic initiatives into locally applicable executions. Own the annual business plan for assigned supplier. Identify and act on local trade opportunities. Nurture the Trade Development model and best practice. Act as single point of contact for supplier management. Build alignment and nurture strong working relationship with supplier Customer Marketing Director.Required Duties:Train, coach, and motivate direct reports Lead direct reports effectively by clearly communicating roles and responsibilities, expectations, and deliverables Create and nurture team accountability to BBG business rules As a member of the BBC Leadership Team, contribute to the broader leadership and strategic development of the businessEnsure strategic compliance to supplier brand standards Increase the quality/quantity of brand building initiatives Set national and regional goals, measure, evaluate, and adapt to market conditions Ensure efficient and effective trade spending as per the business plan Ensure proper business plan timing and communication with sales teams Participate in key customer sales calls from a supporting role Provide guidance and direction for the business planning process that reflects brand and customer strategies and supports the delivery of business objectives Monitor business performance and drive course corrective actions. Nurture an information rich environment to include competitive, consumer and brand insights Proactively participate in strategy briefing sessions and provide continuous feedback on execution and program effectiveness Participate in planning meetings with assigned supplier and team members Must be able to:Live and demonstrate the Company’s values.Demonstrate and exhibit high levels of professionalism with internal and external customersRequired Skills/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required 7 years management experience 5 + year experience managing sales and sales management or trade development Relevant cross-functional experience (finance, operations, IT, HR, project management, etc.)Budget and/or P&L experience with major CPG company Excellent leadership capabilities with strong presentation and interpersonal skills Strong communication skills: verbal, listening and written Strong business planning and collaboration skills Expert knowledge of trade development fundamentals (supplier, sales, customer and brand) .
