Students will be required to cover all travel expenses to and from the location of work.
Duties
Delivers interpretive presentations, programs and activities to provide visitors to Kouchibouguac National Park with opportunities to discover, appreciate, learn about and enjoy the park and its natural and cultural resources and understand its significance to Canada.
Work environment
Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canadas outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to hire students for the summer at Kouchibouguac National Park.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
EDUCATION:
Please confirm that you meet these eligibility factors:
- registered as a full time or part-time secondary or post secondary student in an accredited academic program; or
- participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in public speaking;
- Experience in heritage interpretation, theatre/performing arts, story-telling;
- Experience in education on the topics of science and/or culture.

Bilingual (English and French) depending on the position to be filled.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Parks Canada, its objectives and mandate;

ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/ territorial holidays;
- Willingness to work in variable weather conditions;
- Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment;
- Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR certification;
- Possession of a valid Driver's license.
Conditions of employment
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Reliability Status security clearance;
- Parks Canada prohibits smoking or vaping in the workplace.

Persons employed under one of the approved student employment programs may work:
full time or part time during the non academic term, for a maximum of four months;
part time during the academic term;
for a maximum of four months immediately following their final academic term;
