We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as theSenior Regional Vice-President of Sales and Key Accountsfor Quebec. This influential position will report direct to the President and CEO of iA Clarington and is a key member of the company's sales leadership team with complete management accountability for markets across Quebec.
Through proactive leadership and coaching, the Senior Regional Vice-President will work to enhance relationships and provide insight and direction in the development and management of distribution strategies to grow overall region's sales. They will lead a high performing team of Wholesalers to determine the best coverage for our clients to grow existing relationships and build new ones. They will promote iA Clarington as a provider of product and business building solutions for Financial Advisors and Key Account firms across Quebec.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts in Quebec, addressing inquiries, concerns and needs.
Develop and implement strategies to deepen relationships, enhance client satisfaction and drive business growth.
Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, operations, investment management and key accounts to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Quebec sales team including setting performance goals, training, and fostering a high performance culture of consultative selling.
Recruit, train and develop a highly effective sales team, ensuring a strong pool of candidates through an extensive industry network
Coach and mentor regional sales team to deliver business objectives
Create development plans for all direct reports to identify personal and career goals
Drive sales and asset retention in mutual funds, ETF's, OM products and SMA's to achieve regional sales targets
Act as a sales lead on various retail distribution projects and sales initiatives
Oversight of Sales Compliance and incentive programs
Manage regional expense budget to deliver on ROI objectives
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision making and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences and client meetings to promote our brand and build credibility within the market.
Knowledge/Skills/Competency/Education
Bachelor's degree with advanced certifications or degrees a plus;
A minimum of 10 years-experience in the investment industry with 5+ years sales management, coaching and leadership experience;
Ability to travel extensively;
Excellent English and French language skills, both oral and written, due to regular interaction with English and French speaking colleagues or internal and external partners across Canada;
Established network in the financial services industry, specifically in the IIROC and MFDA channels;
Deep understanding of capital markets, economic and industry trends and the firm's product lines;
Proven success in implementing distribution strategies to grow a region and achieve/exceed safes targets;
Strong skills in negotiation, influencing, planning and delivery of presentations; top notch communication skills required;
Strategic Thinker;
Strong knowledge of sales compliance and National Instrument 81-105;
High level of emotional intelligence and a commitment to DEI;
Strong skills in the area of change management and implementation;
Excellent relationship management skills;
Strong collaborative skills and experience working with a wide range of business units, including product and marketing;
