The Licensed Security Professional is responsible to ensure, maintain and improve the security of all internal/external stakeholders, facilities and properties. Reporting to the Team Lead this individual will patrol, inspect, report on and correct any security concerns noted within the facility or on the grounds. Through inspection and patrol while utilizing the current property management, reporting and auditing systems employed by the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo this position will enhance the organizations safety and security. This position will be proactive and prepared for anticipated and unanticipated situations that may create danger or cause harm. Ensure security duties are carried out in compliance with all provincial and municipal lawsMonitor, patrol, guard and provide security for the RRC including indoor/outdoor surveillanceInvestigate loss of or damage to property or premises of the RRCConduct searches of persons, personal property or premises for the purpose of protection or loss preventionAct as Chief Fire Warden and lead evacuation effortsFirst responder for all emergency situations including but not limited to first aids, confrontations, external/internal threatsEnsure that the proper reporting procedures are followed for all incident and injuriesUtilize FAME to submit, track and finalize all items related to incident managementComplete and when necessary assist in incident investigations and documentation applying applicable corrective actionsAct as a role model for employee & patron conductCommunication with patrons, community members, guests, employees and all other internal/external stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentialityAction any findings to the appropriate stakeholder and follow up on resolutionAssist in the communication of any and all changes to process, procedure, legislation or policy as it pertains to securityPossible travel between RRCWB facilitiesEnsuring all employees and patrons are safe and secureTake an active role in reporting concerns to the organizations Joint Occupational Health and Safety CommitteeRepresent and encourage safety culture within the organizationOther duties as assigned by managementEducation & Certifications: Certification/Diploma in police/criminal studiesLicensed Provincial Security Guard Valid Class 5 driver’s license First Aid Certification/CPR and AEDEssential Skills and Experience:3+ years of progressive experience in a Security roleExceptional communication & customer service skillsProven amicable de- escalation techniques and skillsStrong investigation and report preparation skillsAdvanced literacy and computer skillsTime managementExpedited response time while making calculated decisionsAttention to detailDesirable Skills and Experience:Previous experience in law enforcement consider an assetPlease note that combinations of the above education and experience may be considered.
