Apply today to join our team in Southern Ontario.What success looks like:The ability to maintain effective functioning of the field office by providing administrative support to the Project Manager, Contract Administrator, and other field staff with respect to communications and records managementCompletion of field inspection tasks for various projects to ensure compliance with construction contracts and applicable quality standardsAccurate review and interpretation of construction drawings and specificationsThe ability to verify quantities, prepare progress reports for review and maintain various construction documentation, schedules and recordsAn aptitude for identifying contractual and regulatory deviances and work with the project team to find solutionsLiaise and maintain effective communication between clients, contractors and consultants Who you are:We’re looking for Junior Inspectors who, alongside a Senior Inspector, can take responsibility for field inspections and related documentation for a variety of transportation construction projects in Southern Ontario. What you bring:A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar inspector or quality assurance role for municipal or transportation construction projectsA university degree or college diploma in civil engineering or a related disciplineCertified by OACETT for the Road Construction Junior Inspector (RCJI) designation is a strong assetSome knowledge of design standards, specifications and materials associated with construction, laws and regulations including environmental, occupational health and safety requirements and their application in construction contractsA willingness to work with the team to resolve project issues on site The ability to operate survey equipment (level and transit) to verify construction progressBonus skills and experience:Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skillsProficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
