We explore how immersive media can improve the quality of lives, now and forever.We are looking for artists who push their medium to the edge and then leap to the next medium; creating experiences nobody else in the world can.Meat (or veg) and potatoes:Remote work until further notice on COVID-19On-location work at our studio in London, ON thereafter (flexibility available)Flexible hoursWhat comes across your desk:As an augmented reality developer you develop custom backend services to extract data from platforms and sensors to be utilized in the AR environmentWork with development team to integrate APIs into android and iOS applicationsMake use of and provide recommendations for software documentationCollaborate with other programmers to identify and correct errors by conducting trial runs, making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are producedWrite end user and developer documentation such as user guides and APIs;Collaborate closely with experienced engineers as well as product managers and designersFocus on code quality and engage in code and design reviewsIterate quickly without compromising qualityDevelop new skills and learn new languages with the full support of your peersBuild robust, lasting, and scalable productsDevelop tutorials to guide developers through the best practices of using EXAR’s toolsIs this you?Experience developing games in Unity 3DExperience developing mobile and web applications using C#Experience developing Augmented Reality and/or Virtual Reality applicationsKnowledge of building iOS applications using Objective-C and/or SwiftExperience with implementing APIs and interfacing with backend services, including familiarity with JSON, REST and XMLExperience in translating design mockups into production-quality functioning app interfaces.Experience using version control software such as git or perforceStrong CS fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, networking, memory management, distributed systems, and relational databasesIntellectual curiosity, including a desire to know how things work, to learn how things work, and to contribute to how things workA love for tackling tough technical challengesDedication to code quality, performance and continuous improvementStrong mobile debugging and optimization skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under tight timelinesAbility to multi-task and work on multiple projects and deadlines at the same timeExcellent writing and communication skills in EnglishBonus points:UI/UX design fundamentals and experienceUnity3D Game Engine development experienceExperience developing with Vuforia SDK or equivalent AR SDKProficiency in C++ and deep software engineering knowledgeExperiences in graphics rendering APIs such as OpenGL ES/Metal/Vulkan and experience in shader programmingExperience with AR libraries such as 8th Wall, PlayCanvas, Lens Studio, ARCore, or ARKitA killer instinct for what is beautiful
