How do you fit in?
AltaGas requires an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individual to join our team at the site of our Alton Natural Gas Storage project which includes sites in Fort Ellis Colchester County and Brentwood Colchester County in Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Manager Stakeholder Relations and Site Services, this position is responsible for the general upkeep of our supplies, grounds and fenced areas.
What you’ll be doing:
Overseeing the project sites and reporting damage or concerns
Signing in and signing out employees and contractors and visitors to sites
Keeping accurate notes
General site cleanup, mowing lawns and shoveling snow
Running for parts
Painting buildings, containers, process piping, etc
Organizing surplus material in containers
Organization of warehouses, stocking shelves
What you must have:
A commitment to workplace safety
Reliability and availability to work shift work
Must be at least 19 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license
A positive and self starter attitude
A proactive approach with ability to work with minimal supervision
Aptitude to learn oil and gas terminology
Where you’ll be working:
The Alton Natural Gas Storage project is the development of an underground natural gas storage facility and associated pipelines in the Stewiacke Salt Formation near Alton, NS.
