We currently have an exciting casual opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic as a dedicated Social Worker to Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre located in Surrey, British Columbia.

This position offers a flexible, rotating schedule which allows time off for work-life balance.

Build on your education & career experience as you:

•Deliver comprehensive social worker services and therapeutic clinical counseling to patients and families for an assigned clinical specialty area. •Conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments of patients and families using a variety of assessment tools and in accordance with professional standards, clinical policies, and practices. •Provide consultation to patients and other healthcare professionals by providing leadership in patient care planning for the effective utilization of patient resources. •Participate as a member of local committees and planning bodies to identify areas for improved efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery to improve patient care services and reduce gaps in the service. •Develop, lead, and deliver in-services, presentations, psycho-educational sessions.

To join our team, you will need:

•Master’s degree in Social Work •Current registration with the BC College of Social Workers •One (1) year recent, related acute care clinical experience
