We currently have an exciting opportunity to hire two temporary full-time – Site Emergency Operations Centre Lead (COVID). As the Lead you will plan, implement and/or evaluate the COVID-19 prevention and outbreak response within owned/operated, contracted, and private Long Term Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living sites across the Fraser Health area. Within sites experiencing an outbreak, you will pull together a variety of required partners, facilitate the initial site EOC meeting, and provide consultation and advice regarding practice protocols, quality and safety guidelines and COVID-19 response processes. You will assess site and human resource needs, identify gaps, evaluate response status, develop and/or recommend tools sought at both outbreak containment and prevention.

Build on your education and career experience as you:

•Establish frameworks, plan objectives by making the initial contact with site leadership to verify reports, determine specifics of who is affected and where, and contact the appropriate Medical Health Officer in the geographic area to inform Public Health and receive further direction. •Facilitate the initial site Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) meeting with key partners that includes but not limited to the site clinical leadership, Medical Health Officer or Public Health Nurse designate, FH Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Educators, Infection Prevention Control Specialist. •Provide consultation and advice to site leadership regarding containment and preventative measures such as isolation of affected residents, cohorting staff, accurate use of personal protective equipment, improved cleaning, screening of staff and residents, and swabbing those with symptoms.

To join our team, we will look for you to have:

•Bachelor’s degree in a health related field. •Seven (7) years of recent, related clinical experience in a long term care, assisted living, or community health care environment, including five (5) years of recent, related experience leading quality improvement or related initiatives/projects, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. •Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.

These temporary full-time positions will be available until July 30, 2021, and located in Surrey, B.C.
