Your opportunity

Dillon’s Finance group is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals in the Planning and Analysis group. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, this position will serve as a key component in advancing and accelerating analytics and broader business insight to the organization.

At Dillon, we operate as one team. This position is available at our Dillon London office.

What your day will look like

Finance (97%)

+ Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing.

+ Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.

+ Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.

+ Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.

+ Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models.

+ Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis.

+ Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.

+ Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.

+ Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field.

+ Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope.

+ Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.

+ Lead and analyze the backlog and potentials process.

+ Provide support for the company’s Mergers & Acquisitions function.

Learning & Development (3%)

+ Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.

+ Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.

+ Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.

What you will need to succeed

+ Bachelor degree in Business, Economics or related field.

+ Two to three years of working experience as a Finance Analyst.

+ High degree of proficiency with Excel, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.

+ Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.

+ Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.

+ Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.

+ Working knowledge, or familiarity, with buy-side M&A transactions is preferred.
