We are seeking a Security Installation Technician (Access Control, Intrusion Systems) to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Installing and servicing cabling infrastructure, including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing and labeling per specifications and drawings for security systems.
  • Installing security systems equipment including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, Intercom such as Card Reader, Door Contact, Variety of cameras, Motion detector and Intercom sub stations
  • Administrative duties including project updates/Daily Report to Site Lead and Project Managers.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in security system includes cabling and installation security equipment such as Card Reader, Door Contact, Variety of cameras, Motion detector and Intercom sub stations in commercial, Condo projects from construction sites to finished corporate offices.
  • Must be able to jack, terminate, dress and test Cat5e and Cat6 cables in both sides.
  • Must possess a good understanding of installing, fishing, dressing and cross-connecting cables.
  • Understands and communicates blue-prints, drawings, work orders, and diagrams in order to successfully complete required wiring and termination at the jobs
  • Must have an understanding of building codes for cabling.
  • Can balance a physically demanding workload, which includes standing, lifting, climbing, bending, crawling in confined spaces and working in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments
  • Able to use Safely and Professionally power tools and hand tools such as Drills, Sockets, screwdrivers punching tools,
  • Normal color vision which is required to work with color-coded wiring
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have strong work ethic.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills

 

Education, Certifications & Experience

  • Must have 2+ years experience in security system includes cabling and installation security equipment
  • High School diploma
  • Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License (G level)
