One of our clients in Financial Sectoris currently seeking a Retail Trader to join their Trading team in Downtown Toronto. Responsibilities: Resolve trade related inquiries via various inbound communication channels in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner and follow up with clients on any outstanding issues Execute broker assisted trades (Equities, Mutual Funds, Bonds, GICs, Options) and buy-ins with accuracy and in accordance to company and industry standards Provide clients with accurate and timely market activity and development information as requested Work with the stock exchanges to resolve trade related issues in a timely manner Act as a primary point of contact for internal departments regarding requests for market information, order processing, executing trades, etc. Handle and resolve escalated trade related issues Handle all VIP client requests and action them in a timely and professional manner Communicate with internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise and to ensure that accounts and funds are in good standing Other duties and ad hoc projects relevant to the position shall be assigned as required Requirements Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial industry with trading and brokerage experience Experience using Thompson Reuters, Fundserv, and CBID would be an asset Education/Training Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field of study Successfully obtained Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) is a must Completion of Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Course (DFOL) or Trader Training Course (TTC) would be an asset Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent knowledge of investment industry and products Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-initiated, fast learner with a positive attitude Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work with a team and independently with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize workload in a busy environment, manage multiple priorities with accuracy and a strong focus on attention to detail Keep current on market knowledge and industry trends Benefits What Our Client Offers: Our client’s dedication to the Employee Experience is aimed at supporting, empowering and inspiring our talented team through: Recognition & Compensation Training & Development Health & Well-being Communication & Feedback For an immediate consideration, please apply as soon as possible with your updated Word resume.
