What you get to do

+ Create, manage and maintain a program level schedules and develop dependencies (network diagrams)

+ Facilitate planning sessions with other streams to manage/update program level schedules

+ Provide quality assurance of schedule information

+ Ensure project schedules are updated on regular basis by PMs, make sense based on project scopes

+ Flag and elevate delayed critical milestones to senior management and work with PMs to develop critical paths

+ Develop and maintain a master schedule for the program

+ Work with PMs in charge of major contracts to set up and manage schedules

+ Develop a detailed work plan for the program to capture expected project costs, scope and schedules, and various other project aspects

+ Review Project Plans and other project documentation (such as, IARs, feasibility reports, design reports, etc.) to ensure they are consistent across the program and aligned with NPMS requirements

+ Develop and implement a Key performance Indicator Framework

+ Manage a Change Control Process and feed into the appropriate process

+ Provide Risk Support from the PgMO perspective

+ Develop and manage other program controls and program management work

+ Support with monthly reports, producing program reports, dashboards and supporting financial reporting, developing presentation materials

What you need to be successful

+ 4-8 years of experience as a Project Manager, representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of projects of varying size and scope in a range of sectors

+ A university degree or diploma in project management, architecture, engineering, construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)

+ Government of Canada project experience is preferred

+ Organized self-starter who can think strategically and deliver operationally

+ Understanding (ability to understand) government policy is an asset

+ Strong knowledge of various types of project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract administration, law and relevant legislation

+ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

+ Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications

+ Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng. is considered a strong asset

+ Security Clearance: must hold a valid Government Security clearance at the Reliability or Secret level.
