We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Team. This position will be primarily located at our Great Canadian Business Centre in Coqitlam. (Please note at this time due to Covid-19 restrictions this role would consist of remote working from home). Under the general direction of the Senior Payroll Manager this position is responsible for verifying and preparing full-cycle payroll for salaried and hourly (union and non-union) team members at our various Casino locations.

As part of the Great Canadian Payroll team, you will expand your skills in a multi-faceted payroll environment and will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Reviewing team member time cards using Time and Attendance system; identifying inconsistencies; liaising with site managers and HR to resolve issues and Payroll Discrepancy Reports (PDRs) and transfering time cards into the HCM System • Verifying earnings and applying garnishes, gratuities, retro-pay, taxable benefits, union dues and other irregular deductions/pay adjustments • Processing payroll in the HCM System; generating direct deposit files • Preparing payroll documentation, records and files appropriately to regulatory bodies • Preparing payroll and benefit journal entries for approval and posting • Maintaining payroll database; identifying nconsistencies; liaising with HR to resolve discrepancies; maintaining hard copy file system as backup • Identifying issues with the payroll process; proposing procedural or system enhancements to improve the accuracy and efficiency of administration • Responding to, resolving or escalating internal and external payroll inquiries • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments • Building strong working relationships with team members and external regulators • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
