As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will contribute to analysis, framework and prevention activities regarding personal and asset information security, crisis situation management, and internal control and compliance.

You analyze and diagnose complex issues and situations related to your field. You provide advice in accordance with the rules of your discipline in order to recommend solutions for improving or optimizing standards, policies and programs. You propose appropriate implementation plans. The nature of the files and projects will require in-depth expertise in your field of activity.

You coordinate the planning, design and execution of various projects and action plans. You help solve complex problems that require analysis and an in-depth understanding of the line of business. Coordination is critical, so you will frequently interact with stakeholders working in complementary fields.

You serve as subject matter expert for your unit, clients and partners.

General Information on the Position

Specifically, your main responsibilities will be to help manage the sector’s business continuity plan as well as roll out and track the various action plans to adequately run our operations. 

Main responsibilities

• Play an active role in various projects (action plans, business continuity plans, information security) to deal with issues relating to the integrity of the business process.
• Identify, record, analyze and interpret the information and data needed to support the management decision-making and monitoring processes involved in applying current management policies and practices. Make appropriate recommendations.
• Analyze risks. Draft various reports. Propose solutions and recommendations. Provide advisory support in implementing these recommendations.
• Prepare and propose action plans to remedy the situations encountered, in accordance with generally recognized rules and guidelines.
• Play an active role in developing, implementing and updating management policies, practices and standards.
• Plan and coordinate compliance and internal control responses with the managers concerned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience
• Experience managing risk and analyzing and implementing business processes
• Experience in the financial sector (an asset)
