Our client, a fast-paced, fully integrated real estate developer is seeking a Managing Director of Equity Capital Raising to lead their fundraising of equity capital. Working with the President, the successful candidate will drive the equity capital investments needed to grow their businesses and to finance additional real estate developments. The focus will include the negotiation and execution of capital raising activities, managing and leveraging institutional relationships, and supporting the team in providing equity market insights. The successful candidate will have 7-10 years of experience or more in investment banking, real estate, or another related field paired with a passion for building businesses. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in leading and executing transactions. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned banking or real estate professional to enhance the equity financing of a multi-faceted, diversified real estate company. Responsibilities Lead the execution of equity capital raising activities to finance real estate developments and support the growth of the fund Review and structure financial agreements related to equity financing Oversee due diligence activities on investment proposals Build a business with institutional investors / pension funds / family offices to drive the growth of the company’s finances Lead investor conferences and roadshows during capital raising activities Manage and leverage institutional relationships to attract institutional capital Qualifications 7-10 years of experience or more in investment banking, real estate, or another related field Experience in leading and executing transactions as well as overseeing due diligence activities Robust understanding of the capital market and real estate environment Post-secondary degree in business, commerce, engineering, or a related field Demonstrated strength in investor relations and client relationship skills Sound judgment and creativity in developing/assessing equity investment proposals Proven ability to develop a key network of institutional investors, pension funds, family offices or other potential sources of institutional capital Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills Critical thinker and ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial setting Compensation CompensationContact Information Should your skills and experience match the requirements of this posit ion, please forward your resume to Joshua Jia at Thorek/Scott and Partners.
