Inventory Control Manager

Our client a large 3rd party distribution facility is currently looking for a Sr. Manager – Inventory Control to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for inventory control for 20+ clients
• Monitor and action claims and support client relationship
• Setup and manage cycle counting programs as well as annual wall to wall counts based on client requirements
• Manage pick faces for all clients by looking at seasonal changes, velocity etc.
• Look for synergies between clients such as merging reserve inventory for similar storage profile clients together to get to higher density in order to free up empty space to sell and increase revenue in storages
• Work together with engineering team to come up with most efficient storage medium based on dimensions, weight etc, velocity, replenishment frequency etc for each client
• Control and update standard operating procedures
• Train individuals to ensure processes being followed
• Conduct operational workshops and education sessions to improve loss due to process errors
• Perform investigations on discrepancies to come up with reasons / solutions
• Drive continuous improvements through metrics tied to both budget and operational areas

Skills and Qualifications

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong inventory, accounting and financial skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• 10+ years of distribution inventory experience
• Detail oriented and quick learner
• 5+ years of management experience
