Our Ottawa office is looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst to join the Consulting team as a client-facing Agile Talent Consultant/ Independent Contractor, and own the following responsibilities: Meet with project teams and stakeholders to collect information on current business processes, and use the collected information to develop and document statements of requirements for considered alternatives; Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flow; Evaluate existing procedures and methods to identify candidate processes for re-design and suggest a recommended course of action; Provide expert advice in defining new requirements and opportunities for applying efficient and effective solutions; Analyze business processes related to both current state and future state status; providing recommended process and business rules to be applied to the to-be state for development efforts; Support content input for draft system screens and web forms developed by SI UX designer; Provide expert advice in developing and integrating process and information models between business processes to eliminate information and process redundancies; Identify and recommend new business processes; Provide expert advice on implementing new processes and organizational changes; Develop use cases, user stories and user acceptance testing (UAT) criteria for use in development efforts; Assess completed development against the defined UAT criteria; Establish acceptance test criteria with project teams and stakeholders; Plan and conduct user acceptance testing on developed product solutions, including data entry, process flow and document issuance; Implement product testing with regional and national subject matter experts (SMEs), collect feedback and prepare analysis for consumption of business product owner and development team; and Support and use the selected methodologies Requirements Your experience and education Must have five (5) years of experience as a Business Analyst Must have experience providing Business Analysis services on at least three (3) Government of Canada/Crown Corporation IT Transformation projects Must hold a Professional Designation related to Business Analysis including IIBA or PMI or IQBBA or IREB Must be proficient in the use of software tools for generating reports such as (Microsoft Project, Access, Excel etc. ) requirements documentations (such as Business Requirement Document (BRD) or Joint Application Discussion and Document (JADD) and enterprise architecture tools (such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or Qualiware) Must hold a valid Government of Canada Secret security clearance
