We are an established company in the midst of a growth spurt!  We have 2 locations in Hamilton, ON:

  • Uptown: 989 Fennell Ave E 

  • Downtown: 67 Queen St S

We are looking to fill full-time positions with candidates who are looking for long-term employment and opportunity for advancement within the industry.  We take great pride in curating our collections of eyewear designers in our offices.  We are a specialized team of eye care professionals whose mission it is to provide the highest level of care.  Our appreciation of the fashion world and how frames fit in is our specialty.  Our passion for eye care and fashion is undeniable and we strive to leave an impression on every patient.


Passionate about providing exceptional eye care to the public and possesses great interpersonal skills. Someone who is reliable, inspiring, approachable at all times and provides exemplary customer service.  The Frame Stylist/Optometric Assistant will be responsible for the patient’s overall experience At Advanced Vision Eyewear Boutique.


  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner while building rapport 

  • Effectively manage patient encounters (e.g. sales, concerns, aftercare)

  • Reception and administrative duties (e.g. scheduling, faxing, scanning, answering all incoming calls/emails, filing)

  • Pre-testing patients using office equipment (Autorefractor, Lensometer, Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer, Cirrus OCT Analyzer, Lipiscan, Lipiflow)

  • Perform contact lens teaches, frame styling, adjustments, measurements, lens verification, and repairs

  • Provide patient consultation on lens/contact lens/frame technology 

  • Enter and monitor lab orders to ensure patient satisfaction (e.g. optical lenses, contact lenses)

  • Maintain office appearance and cleanliness 

  • Participate in personal and team development trainings, meetings and continuing education

  • Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with team members, suppliers and the general public 

  • Maintain professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance/hygiene, and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures 

  • Flexible to support at other locations if needed

  • 2 – 5 years in a customer service or administrative role

  • Well-versed in using both Mac and PC operating systems as well as Google Suite

  • Efficient typing skills

  • Adaptable and coachable

  • Detail-oriented

  • Sense of urgency and willingness to take on new challenges

  • Good critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Must be able to maintain a 40 hour work week spanning but not limited to Tuesday – Saturday 

  • Sales in a luxury/high volume environment is considered an asset

  • Experience in optometry/optical considered an asset


  • Hourly rate: $18 – $20

  • 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM: Tuesday – Friday

  • 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM: Saturdays
