While you-re on the road, you-re supported by a team of staff who have your back, from dispatch to maintenance. the Canada Only Single Company DriverFull-timeFredericton, NB Accurate and timely maintenance of e-logPre-trip inspection of tractor trailer prior to all tripsReport any incidents of safety violation or security breachesConduct a yard check which includes recording trailer numbers, trailer contents and seal numbersConduct reefer check including unit number, reefer settings and fuel levelMove trailers to and from the dock doorsSeal trailers and verify as requiredMaintain tractor in a respectable and clean conditionMay be required to move freight from the back to the front of the trailer using a manual pallet jack Skills & Customer service focusedExcellent driving skills with a focus on attentive and defensive drivingMust have a safety-first mindset and be self-motivatedMust have 12 months verifiable experiencePossess heavy vehicle driver license (Class 1 license)Must be able to communication in English – written and verbalLegally authorized to work in CanadaSatisfactory criminal record check (no older than three (3) months)One season winter driving experienceSuccessful completion of a DOT drug testRoad test by Day & Ross approved third party driving schoolSatisfactory drivers abstract (no older than 30 days), including no DUI violations in past five (5) years; no over the road preventable accidents (yard accidents will be reviewed); no more than two (2) moving violations in past two (2) years; no “defensive driving infractions” as outlined in onboarding document Please note that the successful candidate will be asked to provide reference and criminal background checks prior to employment.
