Corporate Law ClerkPermanentToronto, ONJOB-1195 Our client, a well-established and highly regarded midsize law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto, is in need of a Corporate Law Clerk to join its team. This is a permanent full time position. Responsibilities of this role will include: Coordinated filings for OBCA and CBCA corporations in high volume and fast paced environment; Coordinated complex transactions, rollovers with share assets, re-organizations, Incorporations, Amendments, Amalgamations, Arrangement, Continuances (import and export jurisdictions), Canada and United States filings, Dissolutions, Partnerships, extra provincial licences and business name registration; Limited Partnership registration and maintenance; Liaised directly with clients, accountants and external legal counsels to establish share structuring and print share certificates; Maintained corporate records and updated minute books with deficiencies; Minute book reviews; Maintained Corplink database; The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: A diploma in a related Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk program A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Corporate Clerk role, within a legal environment Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs and PC Law Must be proficient in Do Process Fast Company and Ministry/Government search and registration platforms Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Detail oriented with strong multi-tasking and problem solving skills Ability to take initiative and work under pressure with minimal supervision Be a self-starter who is capable of working both independently and in a group setting
