To meet this demand, we are looking for hardworking technologists to join our growing Modernization Team. As part of the Pre-Sales organization, our team ensures we understand enterprise clients and their needs to modernize software legacies, transitioning to modernized solutions, and guiding them through continuous modernization (think data science innovation and adaptability). MongoDB Consultants communicate the direction of MongoDBs platform to customers and industry partner communities (think webinars, client presentations, content creation, etc), while keeping up with continuous data trends. Our team is a diverse group, made up of results-oriented, innovative problem solvers that range from software thought leaders and entrepreneurs to young professionals. The team responsibilities range from early research into future solutions to collaboration with external partners over generating the necessary templates to the successful delivery with our client community. You’ll work closely with our sales teams and play a key role in winning deals and driving the business forward. You’ll be a trusted advisor to a wide range of clients from startups to the world’s largest enterprise IT organizations. What you will do at MongoDB Confidently articulate the business value of MongoDB solutions in webinars, industry conferences and various other events – either in person or digital Partner with our sales team to help ensure success in accounts ranging from small startups to large enterprises (i.e customizing solutions, client presentations, etc) Support sales with activities such as technical discovery, demos, trainings, proof of values, presentations, and documentation of technical decision criteria; working across a number of sales opportunities in parallel Translate technical concepts and patterns into business benefits for management and executives in client meetings Act as a liaison, gathering feedback from the field to relay back to the Product Management team Proactively seek opportunities to support and mentor other pre-sales team members and share best practices As an ideal candidate, you will have Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new industries A Bachelor’s or Masters degree or equivalent work experience in the tech sector A foundational knowledge of data and data science (you will become a specialist on the job!) A diverse experience or interest in multiple industries (we have a broad range of clients and need to understand their industries to adapt solutions) The ability to manage and work with multiple partners effectively Excellent presentation and communication skills – oral and technical writing The ability to demonstrate resilience and good judgment in dealing with business challenges A pro-active, self-starter with the drive to learn new skills and become a specialist in that field The ability to travel up to 50 PERCENT in normal circumstances and when clients are expressing preference to meet in person again As an ideal candidate, you may also have Experience in a SaaS enterprise sales environment and true client connectivity Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providers or database vendors Experience with database programming and data models A MongoDB Certification Proficiency in more than one language What you will learn The rapidly growing MongoDB product suite, including Core database server, Atlas (fully managed cloud database service), Atlas Data Lake, Atlas Full-Text Search, Realm Mobile Databases and Solutions, MongoDB Charts, Other Tools and connectors – Ops/Cloud Manager, Compass, Connector for BI, Connector for Spark Market-relevant, complementary technologies e.g. Apache Kafka, Kubernetes Modern and popular architecture design patterns, methodologies and concerns e.g. microservices, event-driven architectures, DevOps, cloud, security Sales techniques and related soft skills – presentations, demonstrations, whiteboarding, discovery, objection handling, etc Exposure to a wide variety of markets and broad spectrum of exciting use cases.
