Harris Utilities Group is looking to add a Business Development Manager to join our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team.
The M&A Business Development Manager will be primarily responsible for managing a team of Business Development Specialists, as well as sourcing new acquisitions and related deal origination activities.  Your mandate will be to increase the pipeline of qualified leads delivered to the M&A deal team and assist the Business Development Specialists with building and maintaining relationships with owner and operators of software businesses. The location for this role is flexible, remote candidates will be considered.
 You will have the opportunity to travel throughout North America (less than 10% travel). What will be your impact: * Manage, mentor and grow your team of Business Development Specialists * Assist in developing Business Development team processes and procedures * Grow our prospect database by identifying mid-market software businesses meeting our acquisition criteria * Initiate a steady volume of outbound prospecting calls, email and social media communication to identify and connect with target businesses * Use Marketing and CRM data to build relationships with Owners / CEOs / Presidents * Follow up on outbound and inbound prospect activities in a timely manner * Track activities and maintain relevant information in our CRM    What we are looking for: * Direct experience in managing a team of Business Development resources * Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with CEOs/Presidents and key stakeholders * Able to effectively communicate key information to all audiences  * Knowledge of Salesforce What will make you stand out: * Self-starter with exceptional organization, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities who thrives on new challenges and takes initiatives * A passion for corporate social responsibilities or volunteer experience * Knowledge of Software industries considered an asset  What we can offer: * 3 weeks’ vacation and 5 personal days * Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision coverage from your first day of employment * Employee stock ownership and RRSP/401k matching programs * Lifestyle rewards * Flexible work options (and some pretty cool offices!)
