Role Responsibilities
Are you searching for an exciting career position that will offer you the prospect for personal career growth and the opportunity to lead a passionate team of professional wildlife biologists?
Reporting to the Regional Wildlife Manager, this position is accountable for the design, development, delivery and management of wildlife and wildlife habitat programs in Northeastern Alberta area. This includes, monitoring, allocation and conservation initiatives for game, non-game and species at risk. This will involve:
• Working with the Public, First Nations and Metis, local and regional governments, NGOs, scientific institutes and industry.
• Developing resource management approaches and solutions to resolve wildlife conflicts related to land use.
• Developing and implementing inventory or monitoring plans for game, non-game and species at risk in the Fort McMurray area.
• Utilizing your strong analytical skills to analyze data and make management recommendations.
• Providing strong professional support, leadership, advice and direction to various provincial level tasks, strategies, and policies.
