We believe that our kitchens are only asgood as their leadership team. In the role of Senior Sous Chef, your primary objective is to support the Executive Chef and lead the kitchen in their absence to the same standards of execution. A Sous Chef must be a creative person with a passion for amazing food, who has strong technical and leadership skills to match.Responsibilities:Promotes client satisfaction by ensuring all food is executed to standardMeets food cost target through maintaining inventory and ordering systems Support Executive Chef in Menu developmentTrains all cooks on the proper and consistent execution of all dishesMaintaining a spotlessly clean kitchen and back of the houseAdhering to all food handling and health & safety procedures and ensuring that all food service standards and quality requirements are metConducting Line Checks and Pre-shift meetings prior to service Fostering an atmosphere of hard work, discipline, respectful communication, cooperation and positivity amongst all staffDemonstrating a high level of self-discipline in work habits, work quality, and the pursuit of new professional knowledge & skillsHands on food preparation and serving when neededStrong Leadership and Communication skillsMinimum 3 Years as a Senior Cook or 1+ years Sous Chef prior experience, cooking and managing in a fast paced, creative culinary environmentSolid technical culinary foundationExperience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparationServSafe training an assetValid Food Handlers CertificationHealth & Safety Certification an assetBilingual French/English is a plusPlease note all candidates considered for hire will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
