The Microsoft Feeds & Analytics team is looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join the Ranking Infrastructure team. QualificationsRequired Qualifications
3+ years experience designing and building software.
3+ years experience building microservices/distributed systems and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in theoretical fundamentals including, but not limited to: data structures, algorithms, time complexity and space complexity, lock-free data structures, multi-threaded architecture etc.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $104,000 - CAD $193,200 per year.
Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with engineering and product teams.
Architect, design, and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions in collaboration with teammates.
Participate in the definition of key scenarios, use cases, and end-user experiences
Design services with a focus on high availability and scalability, robustness, and observability.
Drive long-term design thinking for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets
Take end-to-end responsibility for the development, observability, quality, testing, and production readiness of the services you build.
Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, reusable, diagnosable, and actively monitored
Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through sharing and learning
