Our Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) and Incentives practice consists of a strong and dedicated team of professionals with science, technical, tax accounting, and financial backgrounds
This team works within a larger national practice which has a strong presence in the marketplace and an enviable top-tier client list
Responsible for providing Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) consulting services in accordance with process and quality standards.
Consult with client stakeholders to identify eligible SR&ED projects and participate in the preparation of SR&ED Claims
Interviewing R&D project managers, researchers, engineers and developers to identify eligible SR&ED activities
Working with senior SR&ED technical advisors to develop claim strategies compliant with CRA claim submission requirements
Writing high quality SR&ED project descriptions, identifying relevant supporting evidence Alternatively, work with interview notes or recordings prepared by senior technical advisors
Scientific Research & Experimental Developer (SR & ED) Technical Advisor – Mandatory Skills
5+ years' experience in a commercial or institutional development environment
2 years' experience writing SR&ED project descriptions
Undergraduate degree in engineering or science
Understands ethical behavior and business practices and ensures own behavior and the behavior of others are consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization.
Execute duties with significant attention to detail and maintain high quality standards.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills (including strong spelling, editing, proofreading, punctuation and grammar skills)
Strong ability to develop and maintain successful relationships
Client service oriented
Solid understanding of client information needs
Self-motivated individual with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
