Sales Support, Clinical Applications Specialist – Image Guided Therapy (Western Canada, Remote-Based)
Job Description
As the Clinical Specialist for Image Guided Therapy you will combine your interpersonal, clinical, and sales skills with our robust learning and development programs and commitment to on-the-job training, to help build our company’s position in the market. The position is national and is home office based anywhere in Canada, with a Western base preferred. This position covers product education and pre-sales support for vascular and cardiac products.
Your role:
Conduct training at hospitals and clinics throughout Canada, and occasionally within the USA, adhering to established Philips training processes and guidelines and established customer site policies
Serve as primary field interface to Clinical Programs for escalated issues
Assess and document user competency and award continuing education credits when appropriate
Assists with customer demonstrations, sales presentations, site visits, regional meetings, trade shows, and educational lectures by performing equipment demonstrations and/or clinical presentations
Contribute to the resolution of equipment and applications issues and immediately escalate any customer issues as required. Communicate status to customer
Effectively manage customer situations for best outcome
Travel to customer sites to resolve image quality and/or escalated issues
Contribute subject matter to include clinical protocols, sample images and technical tips
Participate in projects as a project team member in order to gain insight into the business and to assist our Clinical Education Training Specialists to consistently improve the quality of the Philips training programs
Continue professional development including continuing education and conference attendance. Be proactive in keeping abreast of current medical knowledge and technology
You're the right fit if:
3 + years of clinical experience in the assigned modality or 2+ years of experience in a field applications role
Must be registered and in good standing with appropriate credentialing body for specific modalities
Expert knowledge of at least one current product for basic applications and one advanced application on Philips equipment is preferred.
Ability to utilize problem-solving, critical thinking and priority-setting skills.
Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to execute training curriculum
Strong professionalism is required to handle a diverse set of problematic circumstances that surround difficult or demanding customer situations in a friendly and constructive manner using adult learning based guidelines.
Excellent computer skills including equipment system operation and Microsoft Office products
Knowledge and experience of adult teaching, training delivery, and techniques is preferred.
Sales experience or translatable skills are preferred.
Extensive overnight travel is required (80%). Some weekend travel as well as Canada and USA travel is required.
Bilingual (French & English), both written and oral proficiency
