Quality Assurance Inspector - Mechanical Engineer.

Are you a detail-oriented Mechanical or Materials Engineer seeking to join one of Canada's premier energy companies? Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Mechanical/Materials Engineer to serve as a QA/QC Inspector at one of Canada's largest petroleum refiners located in Edmonton, AB. In this pivotal role, you will act as the Owner’s Inspector, responsible for reviewing and approving NDE or QA/QC for repair/replacements, contractor ITP and WPS, repair/alteration travel sheets, and ensuring compliance with QA/QC programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure NDE Techs and welders’ certifications are up to date and ABSA regulations are followed.
· Serve as historian for pressure piping and equipment, develop inspection worklists, scoping packages, and monitor progress on annual plans.
· Support RBI strategy development, review inspection data, and lead visual inspection field activities.
· Develop detailed inspection reports, update equipment records, and notify Chief Inspector of regulatory incidents.
· Support incident/emergency response and pre-startup reviews.
· Maintain historical records for pressure piping and equipment.
· Develop inspection worklists and scoping packages.
· Monitor progress on annual plans and assess risk.
· Support RBI strategy development and review inspection data.
· Develop quarterly inspection stewardship and lead visual inspection field activities.
· Create detailed inspection reports and update equipment records.
· Notify Chief Inspector of regulatory incidents and support emergency response.
· Assist with pre-startup reviews and final walkdowns of fixed equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in petrochemical facilities.
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
· Registered as an EIT or Professional Engineer with APEGA.
· API 510 or API 570 Certification.
· Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
