Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (Barrhaven), in a modern building with plenty of free parking, convenient access to bus routes immediately outside of the building, free use of a gym, and a cafeteria onsite.
Our team is currently working under a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate will be required to report to the workplace 3 days per week. Virtual employment will not be considered.
Intent of the process
A pool of candidates will be established and will be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
EDUCATION
Graduation with a master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in personnel psychology, psychometrics, industrial psychology, clinical psychology or some other specialty relevant to the position. NOTE: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFCATION
Registration for autonomous practice of psychology by a province or territorial registering/licensing body in Canada.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the provision of psychological services such as personality assessments, differential diagnosis or other psychological services, with adults.
Experience liaising with external mental health providers and specialists.

Ability to provide psychological services (including mental health services), such as assessment, treatment, programs and crisis intervention, with an adult population.
Ability to review and analyze medical information and provide appropriate and relevant recommendations.
Conditions of employment
Top Secret security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
Able to work irregular hours and overtime on occasion.
Able to travel on occasion.
Maintain the occupational certification throughout employment.
