COMPETITION#: 23-75Northern College is seeking a Professor, Motive Power Technician – Heavy Equipment in our School of Trades, Technology, and Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), and possess excellent teamwork, critical thinking, communication, organization and time management skills. Experience in diesel fuel systems, diesel emission control systems, heavy duty power train systems, fluid power systems, hoisting and rigging, and welding is considered an asset. The incumbent should embody a commitment to student success and professional development and demonstrate capacity for leadership in a multi-cultural organization. In addition, the successful candidate must ensure currency and relevance of the teaching material and assessment techniques, must participate in recruitment and program promotion initiatives, and participate in professional development activities at Northern College relevant to his/her own needs.A detailed description for this program and the courses taught within it is available on Northern College’s website.What you will need to be considered:
• Certificate of Qualification in Heavy Equipment Tech 421A and/or Truck and Coach Tech 310T; and
