We are currently looking for an Operations (Appointments) Clerk for one of our clients. What is in it for you: Salary between 45K to 50 K Permanent, in-office position Schedule is Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, flexibility required Group Insurance and program RRSP with matching employer contribution Responsibilities: Run the query report daily for customer shipments and arrange delivery requirements Ensure appointments are booked Verify that the undelivered daily report does not exceed forty (40) shipments Ensure delivery appointments are booked in a timely manner in the AS400 system with the consignee via email or phone Dispatch third-party drivers and provide a yard clearance from the AS400 system Work the customer report daily and verify that all deliveries have been assigned to the appropriate party and are out for delivery Ensure dangerous goods documents are provided to the dock Advise the Customs Help Department of all shipments that arrive in bond Prepare the Seaport consolidation on a weekly basis and provide the pro bill numbers to customs help Update all deliveries in the system Arrive the northbound trailer in the AS400 system and process all documents which are provided to the dock Print the Delivery Receipts, manifest, and the ACE for drivers traveling southbound for customer loads upon receipt of documents from the customs group Work the Undelivered Freight Report daily from the AS400 and investigate the status of each listed shipment, including updating where required Print the Delivery Receipts and issue to dispatch and all non-Toronto bills to the dock so that the freight can move out to their destinations upon receiving notification via email from the Customs Help group that the shipments have cleared customs Enter comments when storage charges are to be applied Acknowledgment of hot sheets and advising required staff members of urgent shipments Issue daily emails to the dispatch group on shipments that are Hold for Pick Up once the customer has been notified Prepare the Interline Transfer Slip when a third-party provider comes in to pick up shipments from the dock Respond to emails in a timely manner Ensure ongoing communication and follow-up with peers, drivers, other departments, fellow suppliers, central dispatch, and customers Act with respect, courtesy, and professionalism towards peers, drivers, fellow suppliers, central dispatch, and customers Perform any other related tasks as assigned or required by management What you will need to succeed: Basic literacy skills read, write - English speaking Good communication skills 1-3 years of experience in the transportation industry Order entry skills entering data quickly and accurately Pay attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
