We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Technician CNC machines for our Vaughan, Ontario location. As a vital member of our team, you will report directly to the plant manager, contributing to the seamless operation of our production equipment.

The role involves programming, debugging, installing, and managing the operation of production equipment across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems. Your attention to detail in ensuring accurate equipment documentation and timely servicing of plant equipment is crucial.
Key Responsibilities: Service Technician CNC machines
Maintain, modify, and install production equipment as required. Diagnose equipment faults, ensuring effective control and safety measures, and engaging OEM support when necessary. Contribute to developing maintenance team KPIs, monitoring metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Initiate purchase orders for equipment, parts, and materials, and manage critical spares and maintenance inventories. Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment, including Panel Saws, Edge banders, CNC routers, etc. Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute necessary maintenance tasks. Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Support maintenance and operational requirements, maintaining records using CMMS systems. Repair, test, program, and install electrical motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, sensors, and variable frequency drives. Troubleshoot and maintain simple control networks. Review plans, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute repairs and installations. Proficient in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming, troubleshooting, and modifications. Collaborate effectively within a team environment. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Comply with local legal requirements and electrical codes. Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations. Skill Set: Service Technician CNC machines
3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a woodworking facility. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, including North American and European standards. Strong understanding of feedback devices, relay logic, electronics, PLC (Allen Bradley and Siemens), and motor controls. Excellent diagnostic troubleshooting skills. Mechanical, electrical/electronic experience and training. Experience with pneumatic controls and PLC/CNC machinery. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and Windows OS. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong problem-solving abilities. Independent, professional work ethic with flexibility, high motivation, and attention to detail. College degree/diploma in Mechanical, Automation, Trade, or related field. Relationships and Contacts: Supervisory Relationships:
Reports to the Plant Manager. Limited supervision received and given, primarily overseeing production associates and contractors during projects and maintenance tasks. Internal Contacts:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as purchasing, finance, operations, and product engineering. Interact with various business units and senior/executive management. External Contacts:
