Just 50 km north of Victoria and 30 km south of Nanaimo, the Cowichan Valley offers a warm climate and numerous parks, recreational, cultural, and social opportunities.
Are you a dynamic and progressive Chartered Professional Accountant with a desire to serve your local community through effective and responsible fiscal management? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the CVRD in the key role of Manager – Financial Planning.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager - Financial Planning is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the preparation of the Regional District’s financial plans and annual budget and provides analysis and advice to managers to ensure sound business decisions are followed. Assesses financial risk and facilitates implementation of risk mitigation strategies. Administers grant applications and claims, and prepares annual requisitions for the Regional District and the Regional Hospital Districts.

Hours of Work
35-hour full-time work week (office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) with the opportunity to participate in the CVRD’s Flex Time Program.
Potential for a part-time Work From Home arrangement (1 to 2 days / week) after an appropriate training / probationary period. This position works at the CVRD’s main office in Duncan, BC, and a regular and ongoing in-office presence is required.
Salary
Salary range of $107,924.87 to $126,173.79 per year, commensurate with experience.
Comprehensive benefits package including extended health, dental, and insurance benefits, pension, and paid vacation.
