Our client, a highly regarded law firm, located in the downtown core is growing! They are looking to add a Litigation Law Clerk to its well known and tight knit team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the brightest in their field.
This is a full time permanent role.
In this role you will work in the area of civil and commercial litigation and support two lawyers in their litigation practice.
Duties and responsibilities will include the ability to prepare pleadings, affidavits, assist with the discovery and trial preparations, docket your time, prepare accounts and perform other tasks as needed.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
Proficiency in Outlook and and have knowledge of a litigation document and management software
Possess a Law Clerk Diploma or Certificate
Strong Customer service mentality
Possess a strong attention to detail, initiative and have the ability to multi task and prioritize
Must be proactive, resourceful and learn quickly
Ability to work as independently as well as part of a team
