We are currently seeking an IP Litigation Lawyer to join our Toronto office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Trademark and Patent Litigation Associate with 2 or more years of experience to gain significant IP experience working in conjunction with experienced attorneys on cutting-edge matters.
The ideal candidate will have at least two to four years of experience specializing in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, including motion practice and preparing related agreements. In your previous and current work, you demonstrate excellent attention to detail, outstanding communication skills and an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
- Correspond with clients and opposing counsel
- Analyze and summarize legal documents
- Supporting attorneys and staff within the practice groups department
- Legal research and drafting of a wide range of legal documents
- Command of trademark intellectual property
- Solid understanding of intellectual property
- Litigation intellectual property experience preferred
- Proficiency in patent intellectual property
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines
- Excellent academic credentials and references
- Licensed attorney, called to the Bar in Ontario
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Strong communication and social skills
- Must possess analytical, legal research and writing skills
