Our client is in the pharmaceutical industry and will require you to work on-site 3 days/week and remote 2 days/week; they offer free parking and is a short walk from a YRT bus stop. We are looking for experienced, hardworking and driven Financial Analyst with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, and someone looking to make a positive impact in the organization. Please note this role is to start immediately and will be for 6 months with potential to extend further or more.
Some of the responsibilities for the Financial Analyst job opening in Markham, ON., include but are not limited to:
Utilize your strengths in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting to support the team and organization.
Responsible for performing detailed and in-depth analysis over financial data, sales, etc to uncover trends.
Assist with budget preparation and forecasts using trends, analysis and reporting to help with more accurate projections.
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results and investigate monthly/yearly variances.
Prepare P&L and balance sheet analysis.
Monitor and report on actual versus budgeted/forecasted; work to provide supporting explanations and ways to conduct corrective actions.
Implement proper controls to ensure that all financial as well as non-financial activities are properly accounted for.
Participate in any additional analysis or projects as needed.
The qualifications for the Financial Analyst job opening in Markham, ON includes:
At least 2 years’ experience in Financial Analyst capacity.
Completed Bachelor’s degree in an accounting/finance or equivalent.
Advanced skills in MS Excel and SAP experience is required.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal along with the ability to liaise with clients; internal and external.
Excellent analytical and problem solving-skills; ability to delve in and understand the problem and come up with solutions at the ready.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; adaptable, ability to prioritize.
Strengths in working independently and also as a team member.
