Civil contractor focused on infrastructure projects in BC
Civil contractor seeking a Field Engineer / Project Engineer for large civil and infrastructure projects in Vancouver
Key Responsibilities:
Developing a thorough understanding of project specifications and budget;
Establishing strong relationships with Quattro’s internal team, subcontractors, and vendors;
Coordinating and responding to technical inquiries from various stakeholders;
Assisting the Quality Management team in performing and documenting QA/QC procedures;
Performing basic engineering calculations for field activities;
Developing a thorough understanding of project specifications and budget;
Conducting general duties as required such as printing/plotting, transmittal preparation, project tracking, submitting drawings to client/contractor;
Providing technical and administrative support through all phases of the project;
Creating and issuing daily construction reports;
Assisting with scheduling and cost estimate preparation; and
Attending site meetings and communicating directly with clients, maintaining a respectful and professional working relationship.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1-4 years of experience working on a Construction Site;
Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
Registered with EGBC as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training;
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write letters, report writing and presentation skills;
Familiarity with Scheduling Software is an asset; and
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Compensation:$70-90k, depending on experience level and education. The client is a progressive company offering employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
