Agilus has partnered with our client (a midstream company in the GTA) on their search for a Facilities E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Reliability Specialist.TheFacilities Integrity Specialist - Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)is primarily accountable for managing preventative, corrective maintenance, and inspection activities for company facilities with focus on Electrical and Instrumentation Equipment (and control systems). In addition, this position is also responsible for managing projects (e.g., repair, small modifications, etc.) and support Field team for execution of maintenance works. This includes planning, coordinating, and providing technical support to both maintenance and project works.Qualified candidates will bring the following:
Understanding of reliability and integrity concepts (preferably having credentials such as CRE or CMRP)
Electrical and Instrumentation specialist (with solid knowledge of maintenance and design aspects)
Familiarity with Oil and Gas operations and having work experience in this field
Previous experience in Project Management and Maintenance Management using ERP and CMMS toolsRequirements (include but not limited to):
Bachelor of Engineering (Preferred) or Experienced Engineering Technician / Specialist
PEO or APEGA Certification (Preferred)
10+ years of experience in the related field
Experience in the operations and maintenance of a process facilities (preferred), including electrical power distribution, control systems and instrumentation.
Experience in managing or supporting asset integrity management & reliability centered maintenance (RCM) programs relating to facility instrumentation, electrical systems and control systems (PLC & SCADA) is preferred. Include but not limited to:
Power Systems: MCC, transformers, circuit breakers, contactors, pumps, motors, VFDs, actuators, heat tracing
Instrumentation: level, pressure, temperature devices, flow meters, densitometers, interface detectors
Industrial Control Systems: PLC, SCADA, equipment logic controllers
Leak Detection Systems: gas monitors, liquid detectors, vacuum switches (preferred)
Experience with reliability analysis methods such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis are considered an asset.
Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Quality Assurance / Quality Control practices is required.
Familiar with applicable electrical, instrumentation and Oil & Gas industry codes, standards and best practices such as:
CSA Z662
CSA C22.1, CSA Z463, API 1175, API RP 505, API RP 554, API MPMS, and various other IEEE, IEC, NEMA and ISA standards. (preferred)
Experience with risk assessment techniques, such as Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) or HAZOPs.
Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis methods such as SCAT, fish bone diagrams and 5 Whys.Working Conditions:
This position is based in the Greater Toronto Area
Some travel to various facilities and project sites will be required – (i.e. Ontario, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, etc.)
