The Electrical Assembly Tech is responsible for the execution of electrical assembly builds; this will include low voltage analog circuits, high speed digital circuits and high-power/voltage/current power supplies. This position requires familiarity with electrical safety, electrical schematics, wiring lists, electrical and mechanical assembly drawings, bills of materials, hand tools, power tools, measurement tools and techniques (electrical and mechanical) and requires good manual dexterity along with the ability to follow instructions and document work.
The majority of the effort is concerned with Production builds but participating and collaborating on Prototype builds will be required and encouraged.
This position includes, but is not limited to; QA inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, soldering for cable and PCB assemblies, wiring, PCB builds, panel builds, cabinet builds, cable pulling, cable termination, PCB testing, PCB rework and electrical assembly testing. Also, organizing or procuring parts and materials and inventory management are aspects of this position.
Candidates are expected to be able to work independently and also in small teams. Attention to detail, diligence in one's work and the ability to be teachable are important qualities in a candidate.
Experience with CAD tools for mechanical design (Inventor, AutoCAD), CAD Tools for electrical/wiring design (AutoCAD Electrical, OrAD) and CAD tools for electronics design and layout (OrCAD, CIS) are definite assets.
Knowledge of basic RF principles is desirable, experience with RF measurement and characterization tools (VNA, Power Meter, Spectrum Analyzer) is desired but not required.
Travel to support installation of new equipment may be required.
