Visit us at Role Reporting to the Director, Production Planning & Analysis, the Business Analyst, Production Planning & Analysis will be the “business partner” to the production team helping navigate change and become more financially efficient drive profitability and growth. Key responsibilitiesSupport in building and maintaining an efficient operating model for the content production business at DHXPartner with content production finance team to manage project cash flow requirementsCollaborate with content production finance to forecast deliveries, operating costs, capital expenditure requirements, report on operating metric and various key performance indicators (KPIs)Conduct monthly production overhead allocation analysis as requiredAssist with the reporting and analysing project greenlight statuses, bank finance requirements, and work in concert with business affairs to close project finance arrangementsResponsible for post production accounting for live action productions (and animation productions) including commodity taxes, production audit and tax credits collections etc.Coordinate with the business affairs and accounting to complete bank financing and sign offs on certificationsAssist with the development of annual consolidated content production budget / quarterly projections, and review and analyse quarterly financial resultsAnalytical support to content production teams in structuring acquisitions to strategically maximize long term valueAssist with the process improvement projects and the implementation of new business opportunitiesWhat You bring: Possess 2-3 years experience in financial planning and analysis (Cash flow, SG&A, budget, forecast)Working towards a CPAExperience developing business cases and presenting findings to an executive steering committeeDemonstrated ability to collaborate with leaders at all levels in a cross functional capacity and the ability to influence with tactProficient in the use of Excel (If statements, pivot tables, macros, Vlook ups)Power Point and familiarity with mid-range financial accounting system is mandatory.
