Position:
Reporting through the Program Director, Undergraduate Programs, to the Dean, the Academic Coordinator has 2 key areas of responsibility. They include:
Service to the Community: Participation in the life of Athabasca University and the community of which it is a part.
Teaching and Learning: The faculty member will be responsible for developing, teaching and evaluating undergraduate courses in the BN Program. Clinical teaching is one, four-week medical-surgical rotation each term.

They are innovative and reflective educators and will have current clinical teaching experience in medical/surgical nursing. Experience in an online learning environment is an asset. Demonstrated experience or potential to both lead and work respectfully and effectively as part of larger teams is essential. Openness and dedication to developing their skills and potential beyond areas of past or ongoing strength or success will be expected and fostered.

Candidates nearing completion of their MN/MScN may be considered if they have current medical/surgical nursing teaching experience.
