is currently recruiting for a
an Edmonton-based opportunity to work on retiring an operating facility.� The successful candidate must have experience shutting down a plant.
Job Responsibilities:
Providing overall Project Management for decommissioning preparation, risk assessments, planning and implementation of work for the retirement of a plant
Working with in-house or external contractors as applicable to achieve the desired results
Preparing budget, schedule and resource allocation plans for multi-discipline resources, incorporating best practices in cost control, risk analysis and schedule stewardship
Managing and controlling project to ensure that objectives are met in an economical and timely manner, and that applicable standards, procedures and quality control requirements are either developed or met as required
Making independent decisions on work methods and procedures within project scope
Liaison between operations, maintenance, technical groups and outside contractors
Job Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with excellent Project Management experience
Strong experience with plant de-commissioning
Engineering, maintenance, project, and/or operations experience at an operating facility or a heavy industrial site
Excellent communication and analytical skills
