WSH Officer – Job Responsibilities (SPPG / LS Cable Project)
Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, project safety procedures, and client requirements. Monitor and supervise high-risk activities Review and verify Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) applications before work commencement. Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for employees, subcontractors, and visitors. Investigate accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions. Ensure workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with project safety requirements. Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure work areas are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
