Duties and Responsibilities

:
  • Provide overall coordination and day-to-day scheduling of projects.

  • Health and safety of all workers as per Cavanagh’s Health and Safety Policy and Procedures as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  • Daily site superintendent logs and hazard analysis/workplans through Site Docs

  • Lead, plan, organize and implement all aspects of the project on site alongside Project Manager.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine scope of work.

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

  • Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding, and hardware.

  • Manage material for work tasks in an efficient manner to minimize waste.
