The Medical Assistant is a core member of the Women’s Health team. The Medical Assistant acts as an advocate for patients seeking and receiving care in the Women’s Health Department and interprets the needs and concerns of the patients for providers. The Medical Assistant directly assists clinical providers during clinical sessions and prepares patients for office visits and procedures. The Medical Assistant may assist with front desk and administrative duties as needed.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for preparing patients and rooms for an exam according to specific procedures.

+ Ensures the necessary equipment and information are available for exam.
