**Welder**

**Position Overview**

As a Welder, you will perform MIG welding on mild steel to produce products in a clean, organized industrial shop. You’ll work from blueprints, prepare materials, and execute welds in multiple positions while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.

**Responsibilities**

+ MIG welding on mild steel to fabricate and assemble components according to specifications
+ Reading blueprints to determine weld locations, dimensions, and assembly requirements
+ Preparing materials using fixtures, jigs, and positioning tools
+ Operating manual wire‑feed and automatic welding equipment with proper heat, arc, speed, and bead control
+ Producing strong, consistent welds in all positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, and down
+ Inspecting welds and assemblies to meet internal and industry quality standards
+ Moving finished products within the shop, including forklift operation when trained
