Weekend Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal at Coombefield Veterinary Hospital, Axminster. This role provides weekend day OOH coverage and is being added to the existing weekend day team. 20 hours - 1 in 7 weekends. 7:30am - 6:30pm Saturday and Sunday, plus 1 bank holiday per year. We can be flexible to the frequency of weekends worked. 22 hours per weekend. Holiday entitlement is paid as it accrues, as it is deemed that holiday will not be taken from shifts.
Join our friendly team. This new role will add to our existing weekend day team, which includes a vet, a nurse and an ANA on Saturdays and Sundays, plus a Saturday morning vet. The role involves taking handover from the night team who finish at 8am, followed by a mix of consultations and procedures presented during the weekend. The two weekend day veterinary surgeons will together be responsible for in-patients along with any presenting patients, carrying out investigations or surgery as necessary.
