The Vessel Manager has the technical management within a ship group headed by a Fleet Manager.
Interrelations
Reports to the Fleet Manager and the General Manager as appropriate.
Interrelates with ship staff in connection with briefing visit, selection and screening.
Interrelates with other internal and external support functions.
Interrelates with owner, class society, insurance handlers and other external bodies.
Interrelates with assigned Project Team from Docking and Special Projects group for matters related to his vessel Docking Projects.
Main responsibilities
Ensure safe, efficient and environment‑conscious operation of vessels assigned (typical 4‑6 vessels own and 3‑5 backup vessels).
