Key Responsibilities
Manage the overall technical operations of assigned bulk carrier vessels Plan and oversee maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities Monitor vessel performance, condition, and operational efficiency Prepare and control technical budgets, including cost tracking and optimisation Ensure compliance with class, flag state, and international regulations (ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS) Conduct vessel inspections and provide technical guidance to onboard teams Support and investigate technical incidents, implementing corrective actions Liaise with shipyards, contractors, suppliers, and classification societies Oversee procurement of spare parts, services, and technical requirements Ensure proper documentation and reporting within company systems Work closely with Marine, Crewing, and HSSEQ teams to ensure smooth vessel operations Requirements Chief Engineer (Class 1) or Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2-5 years of shore-based experience as a Technical Sup...
